ABOUT

Hi! My name is Becca. I'm a graduate of the University of Oregon with a major in journalism and minors in sports business. My passion for sports and storytelling fuels my work and drives me to excel in both my academic and professional endeavors.

My professional journey includes working on the operations crew for the Seattle Mariners, where I dive into the logistics and behind-the-scenes action of Major League Baseball and non-baseball events at the stadium. As a sports writer, I cover the Mariners for Lookoutlanding.com, the Seattle Reign, Seattle Tempest, and Seattle Cascades for Circling Seattle Sports, and spotlight Jewish athletes in North America for SportsRabbi.com. My articles have also been featured in Bleacher Report, FanGraphs, The Jerusalem Post, and more!

Back at UO, I contributed as a track and field operations assistant within the athletic department, honing my organizational and leadership skills. I also served as the president of the Oregon Women in Sports Communications Club, where I lead initiatives to empower and connect women in the sports industry. During my senior year, I served as an editor for Ascend Magazine, where I lead a class of 30 students in producing the University of Oregon School of Journalism and Communications first ever sports and outdoors magazine.

My key strengths include writing, leadership, organization, excitement for learning new things, and a keen attention to detail—whether I’m managing a project or collaborating with a team.

Outside of work and studies, you’ll find me exploring the great outdoors through hiking, biking, skiing, and any other way I can get outside. I’m also an avid athlete!

On this website, you will find a collection of my written work through various publications. I’m always excited to connect with fellow sports enthusiasts and explore new opportunities. Feel free to reach out!
